The day when it all started

So today is the day when it all begins. The ticket for the first stay in the states is ordered and I can't emphasize enough how thrilled I am. Some of you might not know what i'm up to so i'll explain a little.

I graduated from highschool the spring/summer of 2005 without any future goals, and during the end of highschool I was so fed up with everything my grades were suffering. The problem here was that I didn't have a goal. I started working at a preschool and as a personal assistant. Hey it was great in the beginning, but it wasn't what I wanted to do. I had been searching for a post-highschool education since the equivelent of 11th grade and everything looked either too artsy or too heavy in math. I spoke to my guidance counselor (don't know if that's the appropriate title) and he pitched me some options. While I could consider these options I, to be honest, really didn't think much of them so i started thinking about my dream of studying in the states and began looking at different options. At first I was looking at majoring in acting, but I then realised that I probably should pick something with better looking career options. As time went by and I didn't find anything 100% it felt as if I had to go back to some of the options my guidance counselor gave me. However, a phone call to Emily and Bill changed my plans completely as they told me to have a look at the University of Washington in Seattle. Well... said and done I found the program i'd been searching for all these years:

Digital Arts and Experimental Media

But i'm gonna attend Whatcom community college to get a transfer degree, finishing with two years at UW.

Because of that in and out-of-state tuition fees vary a LOT i'm visiting Emily&Bill during february to get my drivers licence and to register all the necessary stuff to qualify for in-state tuition fees in a year from now.

So i'm leaving for Seattle (Tacoma Airport) february 5th at 13:20 (1:20 PM) and i'll be arriving in washington state the same day at 16:55 (4:55 PM) with flight SK 937.

Sorry for the pretty dry post, but it's gonna get better ;)
