The day I made it into Whatcom

I know it's not very impressive getting into an open-door community college, but for me it is an acheivement. It means that i'm one step closer to doing what i've always dreamed of doing for as long as I can remember.

I took the assessment test yesterday and found out that I write and read English at college level. The math part i scored 25 out of 25 tries, there were 50 questions but you only had to do as many as you could do in one hour. I got the classes I wanted to get in on and i'm happy and proud that I did it on the first try. I'm still taking the SAT even though I don't need it right now. It'll keep me occupied.

Tommorrow is my drivers test and I am hoping that i'll pass. It'd be so great 'cause then I would have a lot less to worry about.

The last week i'm here I hope I can visit the frat at UW again... but we'll see how things work out.

The day I met the cheerleaders

Yesterday I went to Squalicum highschool for a highschool basketball game and oh man... it's just like in the movies. The poeple here take it for granted, but I alsomt dropped my jaw because it was so unreal and so far away from how school was for me in Sweden. The school band was there and the drumline performed, but the most hollywoodish thing actually were the cheerleaders. Real live, breathing, shouting and dancing cheerleaders. That is so wicked. Everyone here is used to it so when I tell them this is so cool they can't really get whhy it's so cool.

Afterwards I went to a party with Curt's girlfriend Cody. It was fun meeting Curt's friends and getting to see how the kids are here in the states, but most importantly I got to play beer pong! Yay! :P

The day I passed the test

Alright,

Now i've been in the states for a couple of days. The weather is pretty nice being kind of sunny and the temperatures are like in swedish springtime. Right now though I am freezing.

So far i've accomplished a couple of things. The other day I went to the DMV to take the written drivers test and I passed. Afterwards I walked over to WCC (whatcom community college) and applied for this fall. That means i've almost done everything I came here to do. The thing left is opening a bank account, but i'll do that soon.

Also I did buy myself an Ipod. Wee!

The day i flew

Alright!

I'm sitting at the airport waiting to get on the plane, and I found a Sidewalk express computer so i thought it might be a good time to update.

At last i'm leaving, and for a whole month. Whoa! That is so incredibly cool. What's not cool is that I have a slight fever, but I hope that wont be that big of a problem on the flight. I'm going to change planes in Copenhagen and I hope that'll be a painless change.
